In a week in which Indiana basketball knocked off No. 11 Michigan State, the Hoosiers failed to back it up with another big time win, falling to No. 17 Maryland 77-76.
After a scorching hot start by Maryland in which they went 9-for-17 from three in the first half, jumping out to a 14-point lead at one point, the Hoosiers never went away and kept it as close as they could throughout the first half. Using a 16-3 run to start the second half, Indiana took its first lead a few minutes into the half and kept that lead up until 14.
