This season for Indiana basketball has been less than ideal. Positioned just outside the top 25 to begin the season, many Hoosier fans deemed the preseason ranking to be too low. After a midseason surge in non-conference play, IU found themselves as the 21st ranked team in the country.
As it turns out, the preseason ranking was far too generous, as Indiana tanked during in-conference play. A win against No. 6 Michigan State in East Lansing two weeks ago gave the fan base reason for hope, but they still sit at a dismal 4-10 record in conference with one win in their last 11 games.
