On Thursday night, former Indiana basketball forward Freddie McSwain Jr helped the Moncton Magic win their first NBL Championship, with their win over the St. John’s Edge.
Win no real competition, the Magic swept the Edge in the Championship series, 4-0, with two of the games being double-digit victories.
Part of Canada’s National Basketball League (NBL), the Magic were the No. 1 seeded team in the playoffs after a 34-16 record in the regular season.
After a smaller role in the Conference Finals, McSwain played a larger part in the four Championship victories, averaging 5.5 points and 5.
