Following a huge upset win against the No. 2 seed AfterShocks on their home floor, Team Sideline Cancer’s run in The Basketball Tournament came to an end despite more good play from two former Indiana basketball players.
On Sunday afternoon, Sideline Cancer left it all on the floor but came up just a bit short in their 88-80 loss to the Golden Eagles, made up of former Marquette basketball alumni. Remy Abell paced SLC with 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists while Mo Creek added 13 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Making it to the Round of 16 for the second straight year, they fell just short of a trip to Chicago for the quarterfinal matchups.
