The Indiana basketball program took the court for the first time, unofficially, on Sunday as the 2019-20 season quickly approaches as they took on Marquette in the preseason ‘secret scrimmage’.
While no media were allowed in the arena for the game, the box score was released to the public, allowing for a lot to dissect.
Despite the 72-69 loss, as the Hoosiers were shorthanded as the starting backcourt of Rob Phinisee and Devonte Green were held out of the game, not injury related, a lot of the newcomers had very good first showings.
Even though Indiana returned a lot of the roster from a season ago, the majority of the roles are entirely different from last year.
