Indiana Basketball: 3 takeaways from blowout win vs Gannon

Basketball is back as the Indiana basketball program was back in Assembly Hall for the first time in nearly seven months for Tuesday’s exhibition against Gannon University, as the Hoosiers came away with an 84-54 win.

It was the second ‘live’ action against an opponent this fall, with the other being a three-point loss to Marquette last week, and you could tell there is still a lot of rust with most of the players.

While it was assumed both Devonte Green and Rob Phinisee would be sidelined for the exhibition game, it was actually Green and Al Durham who were held out, while the sophomore point guard, Phinisee, saw his first action of the preseason.
