After what was a terrific regular season that saw the Hoosiers take home the Big Ten regular season title, the Indiana baseball program was planted all over the Big Ten honors.
Going 36-19 on the season, there was no surprise that Jeff Mercer, in his first season, was named Big Ten Coach of the Year. Another great honor for that coaching staff was winning staff of the year as well.
While the Hoosiers did have a lot of talent all around the diamond, it was the coaching staff that was able to keep their talent in check and make sure no ego was bigger than the team.
