For the first time in nearly three weeks, the Hoosiers were down. After 70 minutes of back and forth soccer on Tuesday night, Notre Dame’s Jack Lynn scored his first goal of the season to give the Irish a lead and snap IU’s 430 minute shutout streak. Rather than tucking their tails and accepting the loss, the Hoosiers battled back, eventually winning 2-1 in South Bend for the first time since 2012.“I thought it was a great showcase for college soccer and I have a lot of respect for Notre Dame and what they’ve done,” IU Coach Todd Yeagley said, “It’s nice to see us come up here and get a great win in front of our fans, who came out in large numbers.
