Hoosiers take third straight from Hawaii, 8-5

It took 11 innings, but the Indiana Hoosiers won their fifth consecutive ballgame on Friday night/Saturday morning after scoring three runs in extras to beat Hawaii 8-5, clinching the series against the Rainbow Warriors and putting themselves in position for the sweep later today.

It was all small ball early for Indiana. In the Top of the 2nd, Tony Butler scored logan Sowers on a SAC fly to put the first run on the board. After Hawaii tied the game in the bottom half, the Hoosiers took the lead back immediately in the top of the 3rd. Alex Krupa tripled to lead off the inning and the next batter, Matt Gorski, singled to score him.
