BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's basketball team (2-0) surged ahead late to defeat the Portland State Vikings (1-1) by a score of 85-74 on Saturday afternoon at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Junior guard Al Durham led the Hoosiers with a team-best 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor. Durham added two assists and one steal.
Junior forward Justin Smith tallied 14 points and freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Redshirt sophomore forward Race Thompson chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench.
