Hoosiers in the Olympics: Lilly King qualifies

Former Indiana Swim and Dive standout Lilly King became IU’s first women’s swimmer to qualify for three Olympic Games when she won the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:05.43 at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials last night in Indianapolis.

King burst onto the Olympic scene when she won gold and set an Olympic record of 1:04.93 in the 100 breast at the 2016 Rio Games. She took bronze in the same event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and will try to medal for a third straight Games in Paris.
