Hoosiers Headlines: Mike Woodson sits in Bob Knight’s chair for win over Purdue

Forty years and one day ago, Indiana head coach Bob Knight was less than thrilled with a call that went against the Hoosiers in Assembly Hall.

It was a matchup with rival Purdue, already reason enough to be heated. In the process of making his case to an official, Knight was assessed a technical foul after heading back to his seat on the bench.

Knight rose once more, glanced out at the court, and turned the grab the chair behind him as Purdue got set for free throws. Seconds later the chair was flying across the free throw lane and Knight was ejected, an iconic moment in college hoops history.
