BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana baseball (9-4) dropped a tough 2-1 decision to the Pacific Tigers on Friday night in the first game of a three-game series. The game was decided in the top of the ninth inning with two outs when the Tigers plated the go ahead run.
Indiana junior starting pitcher Jonathan Stiever had one of the best starts of his career, as he went eight strong innings, striking out a career-high 12 hitters.
