Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana men's basketball team (18-15), a No. 1 seed in the NIT, opened the tournament with a 89-72 win over the St. Francis (PA) Red Flash on Tuesday night in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Senior led the way for IU with 28 points and was followed on the scoresheet by Al Durham with 22 points.
The Hoosiers will host the winner of Providence/Arkansas at a date to be determined.
