On Friday IU announced that sophomore forward Griffin Dorsey has signed a Generation Adidas contract with Major League Soccer, foregoing his final two years of eligibility to begin his pro career.
As a sophomore, Dorsey scored five goals and assisted on five others. After the season he was named an All-American by multiple outlets. As a member of the 2019 Generation Adidas class Dorsey joins other top underclassmen and youth national team players that will be made available during this season’s MLS SuperDraft.
”Griffin has worked really hard to earn this opportunity to sign with Major League Soccer as a member of their 2019 Generation Adidas program,” Indiana head men’s soccer coach Todd Yeagley said.
