BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana sophomore diver and repeat NCAA platform national champion Tarrin Gilliland is one of four finalists for the Honda Award, the Collegiate Women's Sports Awards (CWSA) executive director Chris Voelz announced on Monday (April 18).
Gilliland is the first-ever Indiana diver to be nominated for the award. Swimmer Lilly King was a finalist in four straight seasons (2016-19) and became the fourth Hoosier to win the prestigious honor in 2019, joining Michelle Dekkers (Cross Country, 1988-89), Kim Betz (Cross Country, 1987-88) and Heather Crowe (Tennis, 1981-82).
The 2022 CSCAA Diver of the Year won her second straight NCAA platform diving national title in March, making her just the second woman ever to win back-to-back platform titles as a freshman and sophomore, joining Stanford's Eileen Richetelli (1992-93).
