ATLANTA – Reigning NCAA Platform Champion Tarrin Gilliland will try for her second straight national title in the event Saturday (March 19) night at the 2022 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships inside McAuley Aquatic Center.
Gilliland, a sophomore, advances to her third championship final this week after placing second among qualifiers during the preliminary session Saturday morning with a score of 350.20, just 1.30 points behind the top qualifier. A year ago, Gilliland scored 338.40 to win gold at the national meet and this year posted a career-best 382.80 to capture her first Big Ten title in the event.
