BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University guard Armaan Franklin has been named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week, the fourth time a Hoosier has been honored this season. He scored 17 points, including the game-winning three-pointer with 15.7 seconds left in the Hoosiers 62-60 win over Notre Dame in the Crossroads Classic. He shared the award with D.J. Carton of Ohio State. Teammate Trayce Jackson-Davis has been honored three times this season.
Franklin, who began the day shooting 14% from three-point range making 4 of 28 long distance shots, came into the game with IU leading 17-16 and hit a 3-pointer and three free throws in two possessions to allow IU to build momentum and take a 34-23 lead into halftime.
