On Friday IU head basketball coach Archie Miller struck gold once again, landing the top recruit in the state of Indiana as Bloomington High School South guard Anthony Leal announced his commitment to the Hoosiers via Twitter.
Leal chose the Hoosiers over Stanford. He also had offers Butler, Xavier and Iowa among others. He begins his senior campaign inside the 247 Sports top 100 as the outlet’s 96th overall recruit.
The four-star should provide a scoring and shooting boost the second he steps on campus in Bloomington. He’s known mostly as a sharpshooter from beyond the arc, something that the Hoosiers have desperately needed over the past few years.
