In Indiana’s loss to the Illini, Xavier Johnson seemed to re-capture some of his explosion off the bounce, as he scored all 14 of his points and all six of his field goals via drives off the perimeter.
Johnson’s struggles to convert at the line (2-of-7) hurt the Hoosiers. But his ability to break down the defense on drives gave the offense another dimension beyond Malik Reneau down low on an afternoon when the team failed to make a 3-pointer.
