Indiana’s ability to rack up steals and turn them into quick points on the other end early in the second half was a big factor in its comeback victory against Purdue on Sunday afternoon.
But that was just one piece of its defensive dominance.
The Hoosiers also locked down and played great team defense on several possessions, forcing the Boilermakers into a number of tough shots late in the shot clock.
It was Indiana’s best defense stretch of the season, as it held the Boilermakers, the No. 8 offense on KenPom heading into the game, to just three points through the first 10 minutes of the second half.
