After averaging 4.1 rebounds a game as a freshman, Mackenzie Mgbako has upped that to 7.7 this season in roughly the same amount of minutes per game — not including Thursday night’s contest against UNC-Greensboro. That’s second on the team behind Oumar Ballo.
Mgbako is crashing the glass hard off the perimeter, outworking and out-hustling his opponents and even teammates sometimes to get in position for boards. He’s keeping possessions alive for the Hoosiers while also getting things going in transition, too.
