It took a few days for the punishment to be handed down, but Indiana decided Holt's fate this afternoon.
Indiana basketball fans have been waiting to hear the fate of Emmitt Holt and Thomas Bryant after last week's alcohol citations in the parking lot of a convenience store near Assembly Hall.
Now they know. Holt has been dismissed from Indiana's program immediately, after his second alcohol citation. From the University's release:
Sophomore Emmitt Holt has been dismissed from the basketball program immediately for demonstrating exceptionally poor judgment in the circumstances surrounding his recent citation, particularly after his involvement in the Devin Davis accident which should have motivated him to make better decisions.
