BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – That never give up mentality reared its head once again on Friday (May 13) as the Indiana baseball program rallied from four runs down in the eighth inning to secure an 8-6 series opening victory over Minnesota at Bart Kaufman Field.
Minnesota (14-32, 4-15 B1G) scored three in the first inning before Indiana (23-26, 9-10 B1G) made it a one run game with two runs in the fourth inning. A three spot for the Gophers in the fifth made it a four-run game that stayed that way until the bottom of the eighth.
