Indiana picked up its first commitment for the 2019 recruiting cycle on Thursday.
Cathedral’s Armaan Franklin, a 6-foot-4 combo guard, pledged to the Hoosiers. He’s the fourth in-state player to commit to Indiana since Archie Miller took the job in March of 2017, joining Damezi Anderson, Robert Phinisee and Romeo Langford.
Franklin is currently rated the No. 133 player nationally by the 247Composite and is considered a four-star prospect.
A core Indiana junior All-Star, Franklin also considered scholarship offers from Purdue, Xavier, Butler, Clemson, Louisville and Ohio State, among others.
In recent weeks, Franklin took official visits to Indiana and Purdue before making his decision.
