Indiana’s 2017 recruiting class added a second member on Monday night as Stevenson (Ill.) forward Justin Smith announced for the Hoosiers.
The 6-foot-7 Smith, who averaged 19 points and nine points at Stevenson as a junior, chose Indiana over Villanova. He also considered Michigan, Stanford, Xavier, Wisconsin and Illinois.
The four-star prospect is ranked No. 76 nationally by the 247Composite.
Smith averaged 8.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game this past spring on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) circuit for the Mac Irvin Fire.
Indiana hosted Smith on three unofficial visits before his official visit to Bloomington on the weekend of September 10.
