The Boston Celtics selected Indiana freshman guard Romeo Langford with the 14th pick in the 2019 NBA draft this evening at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Langford became the first Hoosier drafted since 2017 when OG Anunoby went 23rd to Toronto and Thomas Bryant went 42nd to the Los Angeles Lakers. He is Indiana’s 27th first round NBA draft pick.
The 2018 Indiana Mr. Basketball and McDonald’s All-American is the third IU player to go the one-and-done route following Eric Gordon and Noah Vonleh.
Gordon was the No. 7 pick in 2007 to the Los Angeles Clippers and Vonleh went No.
