SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the 10 watch list finalists for the 2017 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award, and Indiana's James Blackmon Jr. was among those finalists.
Blackmon Jr., a native of Marion, Indiana, leads the Hoosiers in scoring at 17.6 points per game this season - more than two points per game more than he averaged in either of his first two seasons. He became the 50th player in IU history to surpass 1,000 career points earlier this season and has 1,076 career points entering Wednesday's game against Penn State (6:30 p.
