WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The bottom of the order delivered in a 10-3 victory for the Indiana baseball program in the first game of the doubleheader at Purdue on Sunday (April 10) to set up a rubber game in the series for the nightcap.
Indiana (12-17, 2-3 B1G) fell behind 2-0 early, but scored three in the third, three in the fourth and one in the fifth inning to build a 7-2 lead. A two-run home run in the eighth inning capped the scoring for IU. After plating two runs in the first inning, Purdue (20-7, 2-4 B1G) added just one more in the sixth.
