CLEMSON, S.C. – An early lead for the Indiana baseball program was whittled away by Clemson on Saturday (Feb. 19) afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers erased a 4-0 deficit on the way to a 19-4 series-clinching victory.
In his first start as a Hoosier, redshirt-junior Jack Perkins threw a career-high 3 1/3 innings and struck out a career-best eight batters in a no decision. The right-hander allowed three runs on four hits and walked two batters.
Offensively, graduate student Tyler Doanes and redshirt-junior Matthew Ellis each hit their first home run in a Hoosier uniform.
