At the buzzer: Purdue 81, Indiana 69

Quick thoughts on an 81-69 loss to Purdue:

How it happened: Indiana’s defense offered little resistance through the first 10 minutes in Assembly Hall. The Boilermakers, on the strength of hot perimeter shooting, raced to a 29-17 lead by the 9:27 mark of the first half. An angry Archie Miller, perplexed by his team’s performance, called for a timeout. Whatever was said in the timeout by Miller had an impact. The Boilermakers scored just two points over the next 7:08 as Indiana drew within two on a Race Thompson layup. The end of the half, however, was nearly a catastrophe for the Hoosiers.
