NAPOLI, Italy – Indiana University postgraduate swimmers Zach Apple and Ian Finnerty both added medals to their haul on Tuesday at the World University Games in Napoli, Italy.
Apple won his fourth gold medal of the week on Tuesday, anchoring Team USA in the 4x200 freestyle relay. The Americans won with a time of 7:09.77, with Apple posting the fastest split in the event in 1:46.16. Apple also won gold medals in the 4x100 freestyle relay, 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle.
Earlier, Apple qualified in a tie for sixth overall for Wednesday's 50 freestyle Championship Final with a mark of 22.
