BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University Women's Soccer program completed has completed 26 seasons as of 2020. Prior to the beginning of the 27th year for IUWS, IUHoosiers.com would like to take a look back at the history of the program.
The Indiana Women's Soccer program began intercollegiate play in the fall of 1993 under the guidance of head coach Joe Kelley.
IUWS went 12-6 in its inaugural season and finished the year on a nine-game winning streak. During the Kelley era from 1993-2001, the Hoosiers competed in five Big Ten Tournaments from 1994 to 1998 winning their first in program history in fall of 1996.
