BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – 47 IU students who participate in intercollegiate athletics across five winter sports earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition, the Big Ten Conference announced Monday.
"We take a great deal of pride in the academic accomplishments of our students, and I congratulate these 47 individuals who have performed at an exceptionally high level in the classroom," said IU Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass. "The time, commitment and sacrifice that goes into this achievement cannot be overstated, and I applaud our students for this wonderful accomplishment."
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.
