A member of the Mullen family will be patrolling Indiana’s defensive backfield for years to come.
That’s because 2022 four-star prospect Trevell Mullen, the younger brother of IU All-American corner Tiawan Mullen, committed to IU on Sunday, giving the Hoosiers one of the top defensive backs in the current recruiting cycle.
According to 247 Sports, Trevell Mullen is considered the No. 22 cornerback nationally, the No. 181 overall player in the country and the No. 21 overall prospect in his football-rich home state of Florida. The 5-foot-11, 150-pound Pompano Beach native is the second-highest rated recruit in Indiana’s 2022 class, coming in just behind athlete/linebacker Dasan McCullough, who flipped from Ohio State to join his father, IU running backs coach Deland McCullough, at IU.
