PEORIA, Ill. -- Redshirt senior Zach Jewell (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone/Illinois Central) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after earning his second consecutive top-10 finish over the weekend at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate.
Jewell tied for seventh at last weekend's D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate in Normal, Ill., finishing three shots behind the individual leaders at seven-over par 220. After a pair of two-over 73's on a windy day at the par-71 Weibring Golf Club Saturday, Jewell wrapped up the tournament with a three-over 74 in Sunday's final round, which featured snow flurries and wind chills in the 20's.
