AUSTIN, Texas -- For the second consecutive year and third time in program, Bradley men's golf has an Academic All-American with senior Zach Jewell (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone/Illinois Central) earning Second-Team Google Cloud Academic All-America honors according to an announcement by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday.
Jewell earned Second-Team Academic All-America recognition to join Bobby Jacobs (3rd Team in 2017) and Coby Thompson (2nd Team in 2011) as the only Bradley Men's Golfers to earn the honor. In fact, Jewell is just the fifth men's golfer in MVC history to earn the award with Todd Obergoenner of Southern Illinois in 2008 and Evansville's Brent Miller in 1996 joining the Bradley trio among league honorees.
