Zach Copeland's 3-pointer with 3:17 left gave the Redbirds the lead for good. Copeland led four double-digit scorers with 19 points as ISU turned back Little Rock, 75-70, before a crowd of 3,988.
“We have the ability to withstand adversity,” said ISU senior Jaycee Hillsman after Little Rock went on a 12-0 run to claim a 66-64 lead. “We play together and play hard. This team shows a lot of heart and lot of toughness at the right times. We show up when it's time to show up.”
Dedric Boyd came off the bench and sank four 3-pointers to finish with 14 points, while Hillsman and Rey Idowu added 12 each as ISU improved to 2-0.
