YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Even if Youngstown State football coach Bo Pelini knew his intentions at quarterback for Saturday’s 1 p.m. game against Illinois State at Stambaugh Stadium, ISU coach Brock Spack would not expect Pelini to declare them.
“I’m sure they are close-lipped about it. There is a lot of gamesmanship played,” Spack said. “I don’t blame them. I would do the same thing.”
The Penguins have three signal-calling options entering a must-win homecoming game. Youngstown is 3-4 overall after three straight losses by a combined margin of 11 points and 1-3 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
