Women’s Tennis USC Bound for NCAA Tournament

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team will play the No. 13 USC Trojans in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. CT.

A first round victory will give the Redbirds a matchup with the winner of the UNLV versus Texas Tech contest, which is set for Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. CT. The second round of the single-elimination tournament format is slated for Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m. CT.

The Redbirds secured the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title outright after finishing the spring slate 17-6, 5-0 MVC under the direction of fifth-year head coach Maja Kovacek.
