NORMAL, Ill. – The Redbirds finished the MVC Individual Championships going a perfect 4-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles.
Sophomore Estelle Vanthier took home the championship in flight six, defeating UNI's Daisy Phillips 6-3, 4-6, and 6-4. Tara Damnjanovic, Jana Kustkova, and Laura Fitzgerald all took home third place in their respective flights. Damnjanovic defeated Drake's Carmen Palumbo 6-4,6-3, Kustkova captured a 6-4,4-6, (10-7) victory over Drake's Liza Petushkova and Fitzgerald finished with a 6-7, 6-0, (10-3) win against Sophia Haleas of Drake.
Both doubles teams also won their respective matches, taking home fifth place in flight one and two.
