EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Illinois State Women's tennis team completed the third day of the ITA Midwest Regional, with the squad going 1-0 in doubles play and 0-1 in singles play.
Sophomore Tara Damnjanovic and senior Jelena Vujicic took down Eastern Illinois Gauws/Steven 8-4 in a consolation doubles match.
"I am very happy to be back at regionals this year, especially since it's my last year," commented Vujicic after her match today. "Tara and I had a great performance in doubles. We had a chance to compete with some really good teams and we feel pumped for our home tournament next weekend.
