Women’s Basketball Starts Valley Play New Year’s Day Hosting Bradley

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team (3-8, 0-0 MVC) returns to action for the first time in nine days when it begins Missouri Valley Conference play Sunday, Jan. 1, when the Redbirds host Bradley (4-7, 0-0 MVC) on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena, with tipoff slated for 2 p.m.

THE SERIES:
Illinois State and Bradley are meeting for the 81st time in series history, dating back to Feb. 3, 1976, with the Redbirds holding 51-29 advantage, and 27 wins (out of 39 contests) coming in Normal. The Braves have won five of the last six and six of the last eight, after Illinois State won 15 straight in the series from Feb.
