ST. LOUIS – Junior forward DeAnna Wilson earned the title of Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week the league office announced Monday afternoon, after leading the Redbirds in scoring in each of their two victories over the weekend while averaging 21.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
This is Wilson's second Player of the Week honor this year and ISU has now earned the title in four of the last six weeks, including in back-to-back weeks following redshirt junior Mary Crompton's selection last week. ISU remains the only program in the league this season to have three different student-athletes honored as the Valley Player of the Week, with fifth year Juliunn Redmond also earning the honor earlier in December as well.
