Albuquerque, NM. -- Wilma Nielsen made history over the weekend at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
For the first time in 10 years, an All-American student-athlete has been named to Bradley University. Wilma Nielsen is the first, First Team All-American, since Mike Tauchman of the Bradley Baseball team in 2013. Nielsen is also the first track & field student-athlete since Mary Ellen Hill in 1998 to be named First Team All-American.
Nielsen qualified for the NCAA Championships after winning the Missouri Valley Conference Women's 800m race. At the NCAA Championships, the Sweden native ran in the first heat of the preliminary races on Friday evening.
