PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior forward Whitney Tinjum (Stacy, Minn./Chisago Lakes/Washington State) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after averaging 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game in a pair of outings last week.
Tinjum, who was 11-for-13 (84.6) percent from the free throw line in the two games, scored all 19 of her team-best points at Saint Louis during a 10-minute span in the second half in which she made seven consecutive field goal attempts. Tinjum finished 7-for-11 from the field at Saint Louis and also had two steals off the bench.
