Were the Braves booed off the court? That’s debatable

PEORIA -- Bradley’s first three losses this season had a common theme – too many fouls, too few rebounds and poor free-throw shooting.

Defeat No. 4 on Saturday – 73-66 to Eastern Illinois at Carver Arena – was something altogether different.

Too little effort, their coach, Brian Wardle, said afterward to his team and to the media. That’s why they were booed off the floor, he said.

“We deserved the boos,” Wardle said. “They were loud and clear and we deserved every one of them. We didn’t respond. Hopefully we can give our fans a better performance next time we go out.
