After claiming the individual title at the Bradley Intercollegiate in his first NCAA race, junior George Watson of the Bradley cross country team was honored with Missouri Valley Conference Male Cross Country Athlete of the Week accolades, announced Tuesday.
Watson led the Braves at their home meet as BU finished with the team title and a perfect score of 15 points in the winning effort. Individually, Watson ran the 8K course in 24:25.8 to cross the finish line in first place – setting the Braves' record in the 34th running of the Bradley Intercollegiate.
