Wallace Dominates in First Day of Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Senior Trent Wallace led the Redbirds with a strong first day at the Seminole Intercollegiate.

Wallace's second-round 69 (-3) catapulted the senior into an individual fourth-way tie for 6th place in the field. Finishing the first round at even par on the par 72, 6,965-yard course, Wallace came out swinging in the second round and gained 22 spots on the leaderboard over the final 18 holes of the day.

Illinois State currently sits in a two-way the for 10th place, 11 strokes above par and scoring 587 (291-296). Among the teams in the field includes Golfstat top 50 teams Wake Forest, Louisville, West Virginia, and host Florida State.
