SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – Illinois State seniors Trent Wallace and David Rauer each improved their standings at the NCAA Louisville Regional by double digits, each carding a one-over 72 for the day.
Wallace, who ended the first day tied for 53rd in the field, rose 12 spots to a tie for 41st overall. Rauer also rose through the ranks, improving from a tie of 67th after the first day, to his current standing of a tie of 57th, 10 spots higher than the day before.
Wallace started his day with 10 consecutive pars, before recording his first birdie on the par-four 11th hole.
